Ashnola Camping

I recently went camping with my good friend Tiphaine. We set out purposely without a plan and drove east on highway 3, eventually coming upon a campsite called "Horseshoe Canyon" along the beautiful Ashnola River. We set up in the dark and were pleasantly surprised at how nice the campground was when we woke up. It rained over the weekend but we had a pretty skookum shelter (2 Architects can make amazing things happen with a few ropes and a big tarp.). It was a relaxing weekend spent belting out songs of Shania and Julie Andrews while we traversed the mountains, mornings spent sipping copious ounces of Baileys with a splash of instant coffee and cellphones were traded in for books and quiet contemplation.
